PORT STEPHENS SAILING AND AQUATIC CLUB Inc.

Race Starting:

There's been a lot of confusion with the countdown at race starts. Until notified otherwise the following procedure will apply.

The time will start as the number board is Raised.

Each board should be lifted for approximately half a minute for everyone to see.

Club Championship and scratch:

5 board raised and hooter 5 minutes till start

4 board raised 4 minutes till start

1 board raised 1 minute till start

0 board raised and hooter GO

Handicap:

Please start when your handicap number board is raised.

For example:-

If you're on a 6 minute handicap, go when the 6 board is raised

If you're on a one minute handicap, go when the 1 board is raised

If you're on scratch, go when the zero board is raised
